Ryan Harrington, Director Documentary Programming, Tribeca Film Institute
Ryan Harrington is the Director of Documentary Programming at the Tribeca Film Institute where he oversees all of their documentary filmmaker funds, while developing other initiatives and programs that support non-fiction filmmaking. Recent TFI successes include GIVE UP TOMORROW, IF A TREE FALLS, THE OATH, ENEMIES OF THE PEOPLE, MARATHON BOY and DONOR UNKNOWN.
Judith Helfand, Co-Founder, Chicken & Egg Pictures
Judith Helfand is a filmmaker, activist and teacher best known for balancing humor and horror – A HEALTHY BABY GIRL (Peabody Award), BLUE VINYL, EVERYTHING’S COOL, and COOKED. Committed to mentorship and the power of non-fiction media to catalyze social change she co-founded Working Films and Chicken & Egg Pictures.
Dori Begley, Senior VP Acquisitions, Magnolia Pictures
Dori Begley began her career in film with Sony Pictures Classics in 2000 where she acted as the Manager of Acquisitions through 2006. After a stint as Associate Programmer for the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival, Begley joined Magnolia Pictures where she currently serves as Vice President of Acquisitions in New York. Recent films include MAN ON WIRE, FOOD INC., I AM LOVE, PAGE ONE: A YEAR INSIDE THE NEW YORK TIMES and Lars von Trier’s upcoming MELANCHOLIA.
Karina Rotenstein, Programming Manager, Hot Docs
Karina Rotenstein is the Programming Manager at Hot Docs, North America’s largest documentary festival and market. Since joining in June 2008, Karina is an international Festival programmer, curates Hot Docs’ popular monthly Doc Soup series in Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary and Winnipeg, and manages the Shaw Media-Hot Docs Funds, a Fund supporting Canadian producers.
