10am: My First Time: Documentary Filmmakers Discuss Making Their First Features

Two first time documentary feature directors discuss their production journeys from inspiration through to their films premiering at the 2015 Tribeca Film Festival.

11am: Filmmaker Magazine Presents Playing the Long Game in Documentary Filmmaking

Filmmakers speak with Filmmaker Magazine’s Managing Editor Vadim Rizov about the art of sustaining momentum over long documentary production periods.

12pm: Filmmaker Magazine Presents Producing the Independent Fiction Feature

Filmmaker Magazine’s Editor-in-Chief sits down with producer Andrew D. Corkin (2015 Tribeca entry Emelie) to discuss how to get an independent feature up on its feet in today’s economic climate.

2pm: Screen Forward: Making the Most Out of Your Theatrical Run 

As IFP‘s Screen Forward continues to serve as an excitingly fresh theatrical outlet for filmmakers working in self or micro-distribution, director Josephine Decker (whose Butter on the Latch and Thou Wast Mild & Lovely participated in the series) discusses how she made the most out of her theatrical run, making each screening a memorable event onto itself.

3pm: How to Make People Care About Your Webseries?

As web-specific content expands each year to incorporate new and diverse voices, it has become increasingly difficult to stand out. With this in mind, web veterans Amanda Warman (producer of The Outs) and Zero Point co-creators Gregory Bayne and Christian Lybrook will sit down with IFP‘s Deputy Director and Head of Programming Amy Dotson to go over how to make your web series garner attention.
