The Independent Filmmaker Project (IFP), the nation’s premier member organization of independent filmmakers and storytellers, today announced that the 27th Annual Gotham Independent Film Awards will take place this year at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City on Monday, November 27th.

Submissions open August 1 in eight of the competitive categories: Best Feature, Best Documentary, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Screenplay, Breakthrough Actor, Breakthrough Series Long Form and the Bingham Ray Breakthrough Director Award. Online applications, along with full criteria, are available at http://gotham.ifp.org

The deadline for submissions is September 14th 2017.
