This year The Gotham is launching the U.S. Shorts to Features section of The Gotham Week Project Market. The U.S. Shorts to Features section will provide filmmakers who have a proof-of-concept short film the opportunity to meet with industry executives interested in creating a feature-length version of their project. To apply to this section, filmmakers will provide their short film and an accompanying feature-length screenplay.
The Project Market facilitates career-spanning relationships with distributors, financiers, production companies, festival programmers, sales and talent agents, collaborators, and more for all participating creators.
Over the course of the Project Market, selected filmmakers are invited to meet with hundreds of industry representatives from companies such as A24, Archer Gray, Kickstarter, IFC Films, MUBI, NEON, Park Pictures, Sony Pictures Classics, Sundance Institute, SFFilm, Topic Studios, WME, and more. Accepted filmmakers receive pre-scheduled one-on-one meetings with industry professionals and invitations to networking events.
