Cait Carvalho

Director of Gotham EDU

Cait oversees all programming and partnerships within Gotham EDU: a consortium of academic communities and non-profit organizations that share the Gotham’s goal of establishing transparency relating to career progression, the necessary skills and accessible entry points needed in order to create a more diverse and equitable ecosystem within the entertainment industry. A media artist and educator, she completed her MFA in the Integrated Media Arts (IMA) Program at Hunter College in the spring of 2019. She will be teaching two courses in the fall with Colgate University during a Gotham EDU partnered study away program in NYC. Over the eight years that Cait has been with the Gotham, she has organized and lead community events, assisted in the curation of potential participants during the Gotham’s Labs, was the community engagement coordinator at the Made in NY Media Center by IFP, and guided filmmakers through the process of attending IFP Week in 2013.
